CODESKILLS4ROBOTICS was presented on Crete TV Channel

On February 19, 2021, a tribute was made on the CODESKILLS4ROBOTICS project, on the TV show “Kalo Mesimeri” of the Crete TV channel.

Live in the studio, the European Project Coordinator of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Crete, Areti Vouraki, talked about the project and its importance for the school community, while also making special reference to the piloting implementation of the project at this period in the Primary Schools of Crete in Greece.
In the discussion joined through Skype, Dr. Athanasios Drigas, Head of Research in the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” and the Regional Director of Primary and Secondary Education of Crete, Mr. Emmanouil Kartsonakis. Both referred analytically to the project’s aim, being the design and implementation of an innovative educational programme with the goal of introducing educational robotics and the basic coding concepts in primary education. The speakers highlighted that the project results are expected to enhance students’ ability to develop analytical thinking for problem solving, while developing cooperative skills.
